About Me

Hey, I’m Pete .Bit of history as to how PRR NUTRITION came to be what it is now.Where do I start well after spending many years through my 20s overeating and being overweight and not happy during this time I got to a point where I found I was potentially type 2 diabetic.Alarm bells set of in my head this has got to change a turning point was about to happen.I then spent hour upon hours researching diabetes and type 2 diets to stop this from getting worse or being permanent for me.

Started to then attend the gym for the first time only doing cardio excercises treadmill and spin bike and the like.Reduced my bodyweight from 18 stone(114kg) to around 14 stone (88.9kg) over the next couple of years which along the way I played around with low carb, paleo diets and no food after 6pm and a whole lot of variations. So the gym cardio bunny menotany only lasted so long before I wanted more so it was time to sign up to a half marathon run which I got the bug for distance running and then mountain hikes which I really enjoyed until I got a hamstring tear running in the winter which taken a long time to recover from, this in turn triggered me to search for my next sport which then became cycling which i did a few holidays across the world for charity but again the winter stopped me as I hated being cold on a bike.

So by chance the next stage come along where I found a group beginners weight training group which i attended for over 12 months developing learning technique getting stronger and the urge to compete was growing.During this time I always continued to have a great deal of intrest in the nutrition side of things and always knew there was a more detailed way to be accurate with your nutrition and not having an out and out restriction within macronutrient groups and still be flexible enough to reach your goals.Roll on another couple of years I first compete in strongman continue to develop my knowledge in nutrition and specifically for strength training athletes and use myself as the guinea pig to see what work and what doesn't.My fellow training partners and friends were at that point wanting to know how to safely and intelligently cut to a weight class for Powerlifting or strongman competition in which I devised a plan for them to do so successfully. They then in turn helped me a lot to push towards setting up PRR NUTRITION to spread the word help others and have the confidence to know am good at what i do!
